If you thought Rome was the only city that's famous for its 7 hills, it's time to discover Lisbon, the capital of Portugal that is also built among 7 hills. The city is littered with view points referred to as 'Miradouro' placed strategically on each of the hills with breathtaking views.
The easiest way to get to this awesome view point (probably the best in all of Lisbon) is to take a metro ride to Rato metro station and then take a short walk downhill to be wowed at the stunning views of the Castle Hill.
A walk around the city's neighborhoods reveal beautiful specimens of colonial architecture, with most buildings in bright pastel colors.
The hills of Lisbon are steep and getting on from one hill to another could pose an issue. The city has lots of colorful trams that run along the hills and take people from point to point
A quick stop in the central square of Lisbon, Rossio square to appreciate the beautiful mosaic across the square. The mosaic laid here also resembles the mosaic on the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
A quick tram ride up the castle hill named Alfama for another set of stunning views
Walked down the castle hill to get to the Tagus river bank and watch the sunset over the super wide Tagus river with the its suspension bridge panning across the river.
