Why is Christmas celebrated on Jan 7 in Russia?

Christmas market on the Kant Island.After the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991 people were free to celebrate Christmas. But its still a quieter and more religious private celebration. For Russians its a time spend money, eat a drink a lot. :)
