COUPLE GOAL - DITCH DUBAI AND VISIT THIS SAND DUNES RESORT AND THANK ME LATER ;-)

This is my 4th blog under "capture rajasthan". Capture rajasthan is basically a project that I'm doing for Indian film and TV industry to provide them beautiful and unexplored locations for shooting purposes.
Yesterday I saw most beautiful and colorful "mandawa havelis". It was a fruitful day indeed.
Today we reached to a new destination that I come to know about from a Bollywood movie "ek paheli leela" . In the movie there's a beautiful sand dune village . I Googled that location and got to know about khimsar dunes.

WHY TRAVEL ?
Khimsar dunes is the only resort in india where you will stay and find yourself in cottages surrounded by 100 feet high man made sand dunes ,sitting on the edge of a small lake ,viewing the golden sun set and   having good times around bonfire at night and all this with 5 star comfort and hospitality. Basically I'm giving you a replacement of Dubai sand dunes resorts in India.

REPORT FROM GROUND ZERO 😉
We reached khimsar fort at around 2 p.m. The only problem with 5 star category hotels, palaces and resorts is that very few of them allow a freelancer to shoot their property , so I always con them by a trick by telling myself and my crew as a team members of prabhudeva and looking for a location for a movie starring akshay Kumar and sonakshi sinha, by this way not only they allow us for photography but also offers us a huge discount on stays and food and sometimes if lucky even all free of costs😉. But you guys please don't try this as I'm a professional from film industry and if somehow anything went wrong then I have many ways to prove my words.
Khimsar dunes are 15 minute drive from khimsar fort and you can reach there via safari jeep. We were accompanied by the hotel staff. As i enter, those big dunes were exciting me. Suddenly driver stopped jeep and told us if we actually wanna see the beauty of this resort then we must enter khimsar by climbing on 100 ft high sand dunes , And without losing even a single second we said yes, and start climbing, after all we were adventure lovers. After around 25 minutes we were almost on the top of dunes beneath a hut trying to catch our breath and looking in each other eyes thinking "adventures are sometimes disastrous " and suddenly we all frozed. In front of us very large sand fields downside , surrounded by dunes and in middle was a beautiful lake amidst of palm trees and 5 cottage huts. What?? am I on an OASIS!! WOW!!.
In my childhood days I painted exactly this picture and today it's like my imagination comes true. I always wanted to relax laying on a swing on the edge of an oasis with bonfire, music, dance , delicious food , beneath millions of stars with my girlfriend 😉.
The cottages were rustic, very beautiful and luxurious. And I still wonder how is it possible to construct cottage on sand, even my foot was dugged almost 6 inch inside that sand.
For the next two days we enjoyed the golden sunshine, colorful sunset amidst golden sand, meal around a bonfire beneath a huge sheet of millions of stars.

WHAT'S MORE
1) Take a jeep safari into the black buck reserve and ride a camel too.
2) Khimsar fort is nearby and is a heritage luxury hotel but will tell you about this fort in my next blog.
3) Market where you will enjoy delicious local food.

WHEN TO VISIT
Best time to visit here is from November to February, after February, if you are looking for a hot sand massage of your food ,you are welcome. I had took it once and believe me for next 5 days my foot size increased from 8 to 11.

Khimsar dunes is a five star category property with almost Rs12000 per night charge with food.

HOW TO REACH
It is 100 km from jodhpur and located in district nagaur.
