Set your under-30 heart racing with these adrenaline-pumping adventure activities across the world.

30 is a funny age to be. Mentally you don't feel old at all but physically your body keeps on sending intermittent signals that you aren't as young as you used to be, yet you can't resist the temptation of indulging in adventure activities. However, you are far more emotionally secure to take life-altering decisions yourself.

Speaking of "life-altering" things, here are 7 thrilling adventure activities that you need to tick off before turning 30:

1. Trek on the Mountains in Africa

Last year, I challenged myself to go on my very first high-altitude mountain trek and the further I went up the more I regretted on why I didn't do this earlier in my life. There is a myth around mountain treks regarding those not being for everyone, for they happen to be one of the most challenging adventure activities. Thanks to the demanding surroundings, the crowds are also not like what you might see at any tourist destination. Although the more advanced treks do require extraordinary fitness levels but everyone (yes everyone, unless you are suffering from a life-threatening breathing problem) can go for most high-altitude mountain treks. When you're up there camping amidst unadulterated nature, you realise that you take everything for granted in your guarded lives. The views are absolutely sublime, and you must go for one as soon as you get a chance.

It is a crazy-crazy festival that involves running in front of a small group of cattle, typically six, of the toro bravo breed that have been let loose on a course of a sectioned-off subset of Pamplona's streets. Spain has got some insane adventure activities, but nothing is more dangerous than the world-renowned 'Running of the Bulls' which is a part of the San Mermin Festival that takes place yearly between July 6 and July 14. You must've seen it in the ultra-famous movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara also, so you know what you're in for!

There's a certain fascination for exploring the underwater realms because if we believe the scientific facts, we know more about outer space than we do about underwater. It is magical to be able to see, breathe and experience the aquatic life and through scuba diving you do it from up close and personal. Although diving can be dangerous if you're unprepared, but fortunately there are several beginner's courses everywhere that you can avail in order to become a certified diver to begin your journey into the unknown!

All of you must've watched either the classic TV Series or the recent movie Baywatch where there was always someone or the other surfing the waves in the background. It always looked enticing but is an incredibly hard sport to perfect, especially when it's big wave surfing. This discipline involves surfing on the waves which are at least 20 ft. high using surf boards. Although surfing doesn't really get categorised as a fatal adventure activities, but it certainly is one of the most exciting to try.

Well, if you have a friend who has been to Rishikesh even once you would definitely be familiar with rafting. If for some godforsaken reason you aren't, white water rafting involves navigating a water body using an inflatable raft. Although this is usually considered as a leisure sport, but rafting can be fatal if done in extremely turbulent waters without adequate safety. Mostly it is a relatively safe adventure activity that can be dabbled in with a group of friends for immense thrills.

On to the big one now! There're probably very few (or none at all) adventure thrills in this world that can parallel what wingsuit flying offers you. The wingsuit increases the surface area of the body via the fabric between arms and legs. The flight begins with a person jumping off from a sufficient altitude – mostly using an aircraft. The wingsuit flier also wear a parachute which he opens near the end of the sky flight helping him to take safe landing. It is absolutely crazy.

A momentary outlet for the rush of emotions is extremely desirable to keep the wheel of life in balance. And off late, bungee jumping in India has become one of the favourite ways to let off steam. Bungee jumping in India has seen a recent surge in the number of people wishing to try the sport. The reason for it is probably the increased affordability of it due to its expansion here. I'm very sure that if you've jumped off a cliff with a cord tied around you, you already have umpteen stories to tell for a lifetime. But if you haven't, do it before you turn 30!
