Dubai had always been a mysterious city I had been dying to visit. Something about Dubai always seemed unknown and untouchable to me.
A day is not enough time to see everything in Dubai, however a one day layover in Dubai is the perfect time to see all the absolute must do for a visit. I had enough time to see all of the main sites.
Note: If you are visiting Dubai whether for a day or week-long trip, you may carry a Forex Card with you.
Landed in Dubai at 12.30PM, went through customs and then went straight to the Emirates stopover desk by following signs. Emirates is an amazing airline, I would highly recommend.
FIRST STOP
It was the number one spot to visit. Make sure to buy tickets in advance. Enter the Burj Khalifa through the Dubai Mall.
SECOND STOP
Do not miss out on the fountain show. I went for the first one right at the sun set and it was amazing. Just followed the signs for the Fountains from inside the Dubai Mall and found the viewing area. By the way the mall gets crowded as it gets later in the night.
I would highly recommend driving up next to the hotel for pictures up close. Apart from these I did catch up on Dubai Marina, The Palm Jumeriah & Atlantis The Palm, Old Dubai Souks.
Old Dubai Souks was end of my tour as my guide drove me back to the airport and we parted ways. I highly suggest visiting these places in Dubai and adding them to your itinerary.
