If you're a fan of water sports, or if you simply love that rush of adrenaline, this is going to thrill you to bits. The extreme water sport, flyboarding, has finally made its way to India and promises to be an absolutely awe-inspiring experience, if photographs are anything to go by. This watersport will literally take you to new heights!
What is flyboarding?
Flyboarding is a watersport where a rider balances on a flyboard and maintains his/her balance while being propelled into the air by extremely high forces of water. The rider can even perform manuevers on the flyboard. The entire contraption is controlled from a boat or jet ski that it is attached to.
What about flyboarding in India?
Flyboarding has finally made its way to India. You can now try out this water sport in Goa. The institute promises certified trainers, complete safety equipment and international standard certification.
You can now attempt flyboarding in Chapora or Dona Paula. The activity at Chapora is operational around the year, while at Dona Paula, it is seasonal, ie, it is open from November to May.
How safe is flyboarding?
In any watersport, not just flyboarding, safety is of utmost importance. It is imperative that you listen to what your trainer says, follow instructions completely and make use of all the safety equipment provided. If you do this, you'll discover that flyboarding is extremely safe yet extremely fun.
How much will it cost?
You can choose from three available packages:
1. Beginner @ Rs 2,500: Enjoy 10 minutes of flyboarding, along with complimentary kayaking and standup paddle-boarding
2. Intermediate @ Rs 4,500: 20 minutes of flyboarding, along with complimentary kayaking and standup paddle-boarding
3. The Xperience @ Rs 6,000: 30 minutes of flyboarding, along with complimentary kayaking and standup paddle-boarding
If you don't want to try the flyboard but want to accompany someone who does, pay just Rs 600 to enjoy a boat-ride to the middle of the river, along with 10 minutes of kayaking and standup paddle boarding.
