Bhasunag temple is a small old divine temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Bhagsu village of Macleodganj. Standing tall with the huge trees at the back, you can have a beautiful view of the mountains covered with clouds from the temple. Just outside the temple is a swimming pool that belongs to the Gorkha Rifles. You can take a bath in the pool.
It has a lot of cafes and the surrounding market. It lies on the way to Bhagsunag waterfalls; one of another main point to be visited in Bhagsu.
You can book hotels in Bhagsu village than the usual Dharamshala or Macleodganj. You will get a cheaper nice hotel with a nice view of the mountains.
HOW TO REACH :
Bhagsunag temple is at 2KM distance from the main square of MacLeodganj. You can take an auto at ₹50 per person till the auto stand of Bhagsu and then a small hike to the market and you will reach the temple.
