Day 1

We reached Dharamshala bus stand, early morning via Bus from Delhi, which took around 10-12 hours. As soon as we reached we were welcomed by our Trek Guide and departed to Kareri village. We had our breakfast with local family, played with dogs, who ultimately traveled with us till the top (If you are afraid of Dogs, don't entertain them with food, otherwise they'll follow you) and then started our journey uphill. On our way to the top, we were amazed by the gentle snowfall and it was a dream come true to trek during the snowfall. It took us 6 hours to trek 6 km and then we reached our campsite. There was still some snowfall and then we were served with Tea and some delicious Pakoras in the evening, an ideal weather and place to eat such hot stuff. We had a river flowing between our camps and eating place, which the trek operators created using the local woods and lot of efforts. When you are in your campsite, admire the beauty of nature and work of those individuals who work hard to give you such a nice treatment.

Day 2

Early morning after warm-up and light breakfast, we started to march towards the lake. From this point, the trek became difficult and as we ascended, because of snow, the trek became a bit slippery, but still secure. After a 3 hour of Trek we reached the summit.

The view at the top was magnificent. You can sit alone for hours and days and still can't stop to adore the beauty of this site. Although the water in the lake was not blue, but in fact, Grey, but it was something different, which can not be easily discovered throughout the Himalayas. The top is at the height of around 3000m and is immense with snow during the winters.

After this amazing journey to top, we descended back to our camp and on our way explore this lovely green colored small ponds with little pebbles shining out of water. After reaching our camps, we played Antakshani, Truth and Dare and spent the night, first watching the clear sky with full of bright stars and then relaxing ourselves to regain energy to descend the early next morning.

Day 3

Early morning we descended back to our base village and reached there till afternoon and soon departed to Dharamshala. Descend was pretty steep and tiring particularly due to big steps of rocks and thorns along the way, but if you keep your movements right, it will be pretty easy.

This was a trip where you can explore lot of different constituents of nature including Snow, Lakes, Mountains, Trees, Clear sky nights and snowfall. The level of difficulty was Medium for this trek. With steady ascend one with sheer determination can easily reach the top.
