We arrived in Mcleodganj at around 7am in the morning. From there me and my friend decided to walk up to our hostel situated in Dharamkot. It was a 30-40 minute steep walk and we were filled with relief upon reaching the hostel. We had decided to stay in this hostel called 'Flugler'. My word it was a beautiful hostel located in Dharamkot, secluded from all the noise and chaos. Me and my friend felt we could stay here all day reading and just chilling with fellow travellers. After some rest, we were just hanging around and talking to other travellers in the cafe. It's always interesting to interact with people from different backgrounds, nationalities and learn about their culture. Having a cup of tea with a view to gaze all day makes for a wonderful start to the day.
During afternoon we decided to head towards Mcleodganj and see the Bhagsu waterfalls. Once again we had to do a fair bit of climbing to witness the waterfalls. Undoubtedly it was one of the most beautiful waterfalls I have seen in my life. I couldn't resist the temptation of playing around in the waters and did bathe in the freezing chilled water that the Bhagsu water had to offer. After that we decided to head to the iconic Shiva Cafe, a place we have heard a lot about. It was a pleasant experience at the cafe as we indulged in some Pizzas and sandwiches to fill our hunger. The prices in the cafe is slightly on the higher side, however it's worth a visit as the cafe is painted with Lord Shiva's image on the outside along with a small statue in the corner. The view from the cafe also makes for a great experience. Further we decided to head to the Dalai Lama temple and on our way explored the market and streets of Mcleodganj which is filled with travellers, hippies, nomads, monks and locals. The visit to the Dalai Lama temple was a beautiful experience as it was filled with holiness. It's the closest I have come to experience spiritual powers and divine energy in recent times. On our way back we decided to indulge in for some tea and momos. Our hostel which made us feel like home was the perfect place to spend time in the evening as we talked about life, travel and played some Uno.
