I was very young when I planned to quit my job and planned my Denmark trip.It was in the year 2009 I still remember that my brother advised me that it’s a very wrong decision that you are quitting your job just to travel.I said yes without giving it a second thought I have decided that I need a complete break from my current job and as my elder brother and his wife were staying in Denmark since last 2 years I have decided to visit them and all set for my first solo travel.
It was quite challenging because I was not having any experience before travelling out of India so my father was little upset that being a girl how will I manage to travel all alone as from Hyderabad there is no direct flight to Denmark.
We need to travel till Frankfurt and then change the flight again till Denmark but it was so easy that I even couldn’t feel that I am travelling solo and first experience is always the best one and that time can never come back.
So here’s the journey begins....
I was not that good photographer in 2009 but still sharing some captures which was taken by me from my Sony DG cam.One thing I want to share that I stayed in Denmark for almost 3 months.from June 2009 to August 2009 when the Denmark weather is the most pleasant because it’s summer time.
The thing which i like most about denmark is its a completely a pollution free country. The public use the bicycles to go to the offices , shopping malls, functions ,marriages i am mentioning it they even don't bother that wearing a business Suit you are actually not driving a car but a bicycle. Its true and i really appreciate that the Denmark Government took such initiatives to make their country pollution free.
Little Mermaid is the must see place of Denmark. It is a bronze statue which is displaying on a rock by the waterside in Copenhagen,Denmark. This statue is a Copenhagen icon and has been a major tourist attractions.
Some of the attractions like Gefion Fountain it’s very near to little mermaid again a beautiful and large fountain and it features a large scale group of animals being driven by the Goddess Gefion.
I don’t know the much history about this castle just because it is a famous place we have been there for some nice pictures and memories.
The botanical gardens of Denmark is again a very popular places so we had that one day outing of these two beautiful places.
While we were roaming around I saw the Danish army and couldn’t stop myself capturing them.
Freetown Christiania looks nothing like the other neighbourhoods around Copenhagen – meaning you should definitely visit to see a different side of the neat capital of Denmark. As it has been an autonomous district since the 70s – when a group of hippies squatted the former military base area – Christiania has its own written and unwritten rules.
Church of our saviour is most famous for its helix spire with an external winding staircase that can be climbed to the top, offering extensive views over central Copenhagen.
The Oresund Bridge is a 15.9kms direct link between Denmark and Sweden and because this bridge is visible from the Oresund beach we planned the day out to have some fun on the beach and to see that stunning sea link between Denmark and Sweden.
As the best of Europe countries can be seen while walking and walking miles so we planned the full day walk to see the stunning views of copenhagen...The Town hall is the most expensive piece of land and property in Denmark and very famous attractions for visitors. It is a beautiful red brick building situated in the middle of City Hall.
Then there were some band I saw playing on the road wearing bright yellow colours and they were looking awesome. While walking on the streets we saw some kids and they were going for the city carnival.Their fancy dress and shoes were so eye candy that I clicked them instantly. Then there is a round tower called Rundetaarn very difficult to pronounce but it’s a very old building situated in City hall.I walked like 4 hours continuesly and even dint feel that I am so tired but seeing this amazing city so closely is like I was living my dream.
When you are staying in Frederiksberg it’s garden is a must see. When I reach there by walking took about 20 minutes I felt it should be worth watching but when I saw the greenery the beautiful architecture and the stunning nature I was stunned.Nothing much to say here as pictures are saying it all that the gardens should be maintained like this and you could find all the activities like boating, kids swings, golf and sports area.
One thing which is truly a memorable one is that I took my first selfie in this beautiful garden with my SIL and in the year 2009 the word Selfie wasn’t even released to use....
Tivoli is a theme park in Copenhagen with some interesting rides for kids and adults and a whole day out with your family and group of friends. It is quite an old park but very well maintained and highly recommended.
The Wheel of CPH is again a must see places of Copenhagen. It is like all the other wheels where you can see the most incredible city views.I saw a very unique bus which was painted and it was describing like a big anaconda has crushed the bus..sharing the pictures.
Nyhavn is an old waterfront canal and entertainment district in Copenhagen. It is lined by brightly coloured townhouses, cafes and restaurants.
Highly recommended place of Copenhagen and just very near by you can visit Stroget it is pedestrian a car free shopping area in Copenhagen. It is one of Europe’s longest pedestrian streets with the wealth of shops from budget friendly to some of the world’s most expensive brands.
Then you have some of the best shopping Malls of Copenhagen and you can shop till u drop.
Fields
Fisketorvet
Waterfront
I was in Denmark for almost 3months so I visited most of the places including theme parks, harbour, gardens, beaches and shopping malls.....You can plan your trip accordingly as I have shared most of the must see attractions of Copenhagen,Denmark.
Bakken is again an amusement park and there is a bakken beach also.It is again a one day trip and the best part of this is while u walk around 3kms you cross a forest which is very nice for photography and u will see some of the horse cart riders as well.
There are much more places to share with you all.Keep liking and comments on my post.Ask me questions if you have about this trip.
