I have listed down all the places we have visited during our Vietnam trip in 2023. Take a look at my youtube video and use this itinerary as a supplement.
A day trip to Tam Coc from Hanoi. Tam Coc is a beautiful place around 3.5 hours from Hanoi. On our way to TamCoc we made a stop at a local village where we did bike ride alongside the rice fields, marble hills and lakes.
The Tam Coc boat ride is highly recommended. A few kilometres from Tam Coc is the base of Mua Caves. There is also a short hike to a view point from where you can get an amazing view of entire Ninh Binh.
A place that doesn't need any introduction. There are many cruises available including day cruises and overnight cruises. We opted for a day cruise from a reputed company and the overall experience was great.
Please always choose a reputable cruise. It will cost more but they will take care of all the security measures during the entire duration of the cruise.
A very pretty, calm and less crowded city. I loved it. We stayed at a luxury suite at a very beautiful 5-star resort named Flamingo. This city and the resort both are highly recommended.
Hanoi doesn't have any great tourist sightseeing places. Especially if you are well travelled you will find it quite mediocre. Overall, the city is quite lively.
One interesting thing is to see the narrow train street with restaurants and shops packed on both sides. Not much to do there except for dining and buying some souvenirs and of course, watch the train pass by.
We spent half of our day in exploring local vegetarian food and in the evening we had our flight scheduled for our next destination, Da Nang.
For Da Nang we booked a car for two days. Seriously, it was the best decision we made. Our car was a Toyota Fortuner and our travel for the next two days was so so comfortable.
We spent this day entirely at Ba na Hills. We saw the Golden hands bridge and enjoyed various rides, food and attractions at Sun world.
We went to coconut forest where we did the basket boat ride. After that we went to Hoi An where in we did some shopping at the night market, tried local food and witnessed the beautiful boats with glowing lamps.
We concluded the day with the dragon bridge show.
