27 years of celebrating my birthdays at home and no place else had made me scroll and search through some magnificent stays on my birthday and also the desire to stay closer to nature. So this desire had led me to a quest for some amazing stays in Coorg and finally had found a gem of a retreat in kushalnagar area which is 19 km away from Mysore railway station and 100 km away from Kannur international airport.
Hidden Gem - Amanvana Resort & Spa
Well this resort is closer to nature and is adjacent to Nisargadhama Forest and is surrounded by the pristine kaveri river from all sides, and also qualifies to be a wellness retreat for mind , body and soul rejuvenation.
I booked a family Villa with a private verandah that cost me around 15 k . You can also get it for a cheaper price if you book in advance . Refreshments were given as soon as we entered the resort along with some gifts too. The best part of this stay was undoubtedly the washroom which had so much detailing to it to make the person rest at their best.
A day or two is really not enough to cover the entire resort , wow the beauty of this resort just blew me off as it's so close to nature with river views and plantations all around. This resort has a Jacuzzi and a swimming pool which is absolutely huge , you can chill and have some me time in the jacuzzi while sipping coffee.
Amidst the nature enjoying the sounds of it was just so soothing and that is when I was feeling so happy that I spent my Birthday at one of the best stays and was wholesome. Taking a walk amidst the river just soothes your mind and perfect family gateway . There is also an in-house restaurant which served great food so our dinners and breakfast was at the resort by the pool which was again a beautiful experience which I never had before.
I feel so fortunate to have spent my Birthday here with my family . Trust me it's really a home away from a home with its unique housing elements.
One thought while leaving the resort was that I would one day build a home like this resort that's really close to everything I want be it nature , food or amenities.
