1) Toy Train
Do not miss this when you visit Ooty. Take a toy train from Ooty to Coonoor. The train goes right trough the Nilgiri Mountains. The landscapes you'll find on the way are absolutely stunning. It is a slow paced ride giving you ample amount of time to thoroughly enjoy the scenery.
2) Pykara Lake
This scenic lake provides stunning views. On a clear day, the lake is almost emerald blue. It is surrounded by a lush green forest and pine trees. You can take a boat ride around the lake amidst the beautiful scenery.
3) Bandipur Tiger Reserve
You can take a Jeep safari through the Bandipur forest. If you're lucky enough you'll spot a tiger along with a lot of other wild animals. Even if you don't spot a tiger, the safari is still absolutely worth it, as for a while you are right in the middle of a dense forest with zero network and lush trees. The scenic beauty is just unreal.
4) Tea plantation
Coonoor treats you with an endless view of tea plantations as far as the eye can see. The greenery is soothing to the eyes. The tea estates also provide an insightful tour of the process that goes into the tea making. At the end of it, they also treat you with a tea tasting session of all the Teas they make.
5) Lambs Rock
The drive to reach Lambs rock is very picturesque. Lambs rock and dolphin nose point can be covered at the same time. It is a bit of an uphill walk to reach the viewpoint so make sure you're wearing proper footwear when you visit this place. Make sure you visit this place on a clear day.
