Karnataka is vast and the weather differs from place to place. If you're planning to visit North Karnataka (Hampi, Badami etc.) then October end to February would be a good time as it can get very humid during the summer months. Other places such as Coorg, Mysore, Chikmagalur, Bangalore are great to visit throughout the year due to their consistent pleasant weather.

It depends on the place you are planning to visit in Karnataka. If your intention is to visit places in North Karnataka like Hampi, Badami, Bijapur then the right time is Winter as these places are very hot during other seasons. And if your intention is to visit South/coastal Karnataka places like Mysore, Shimoga, Gokarna, Chikmagalur, Mangalore,Hassan,Coorg Chitradurga then you can visit anytime or during monsoon to witness the greenery.
