Not sure if I can recommend too many specific attractions since I haven't been to Indonesia myself yet. But from what I've heard from friends and read online, here are some things that seem really popular to check out: Bali is definitely high on the list - can't go wrong with beautiful beaches like Seminyak, Canggu, and Nusa Dua. Of course there's also temples like Uluwatu and Tanah Lot that give you a glimpse of Balinese Hindu culture. In Java, the Borobudur and Prambanan temples are said to be architectural masterpieces. I'd love to see those massive ancient structures. For nature, people rave about Komodo Island to see the giant lizards! Or if you want beaches, there's always the Gili Islands near Lombok. In Sumatra, Mount Kerinci is reportedly amazing for its volcano and rainforests. Or you could dive or snorkel around Pulau Weh. Of course, there's so much more to explore with over 17,000 islands.
