It will depend for how many days you are going there. if it's for 2 days my suggestion is to spend your early morning in Harminder sahib to avoid the rush then you can explore the food either visiting the market outside the Harminder sahib or you can go to brother's Dhaba or kesar di hatti after that you can go to Attari border make sure you reach there before 5pm. watch the closing ceremony return to the city for evening time you can move to Lawrence road and enjoy the food. for next day you can plan for tarantaran gurudwara and shop at the local market.

I am assuming you will obviously visit the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Baug and Wagh Attari border. But do have a meal at Brothers dhabba, drink a glass of lassi at gyaan di lassi and do buy the famous jhutti(special shoe) in the market .
