Hey! While May - June are fairly hot in most parts of Himachal, I assure you that you will not need to look for an accommodation that is equipped with an air conditioner. Days are sunny but very pleasant and nights are slightly chilly during this time. July - mid-sept, Himachal receives rainfall, so you will not require an AC. October is the time when winter is nearing, so there's quite a chill in the air. You will surely need warm pullovers to protect yourself from the cold during this time. Destinations in lower Himachal that you can visit are Bir, Shimla, Mcleodganj, Dharamshala. If you want to go higher up, I would suggest Old Manali, Chitkul, Kalpa or Tirthan Valley. Happy planning!

My friend the whole Himachal area starting from Chamba won't use AC's as far as I know as the whole Himachal Pradesh is cold weather Station now coming back to your question my answer is Manali, Khajjiar, Dalhousie, Kullu, Mandi, Jibhi, and so on very huge list...
