Dear User, If you love mountains and their beauty, try visiting some hill station.
If you intend to travel between May and October, specially in monsoon (July - August) visit Valley of Flowers.
Places like Hemkund Sahib, Badrinath, Mana etc can also be covered if you have time. Ideally speaking Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib is on a trekking route, but you can take ponies or porter if you wish. One thing is for sure, natural beauty in this area is unparalleled. Exhaustive information on Valley of Flowers, how to reach there, nearby places to visit like Hemkund Sahib, Badrinath, Mana etc can be found on my blog Links as under: Valley of Flowers: https://voyagevedas.blogspot.com/2020/01/valley-of-flowers.html Hemkund Sahib:

We personally love mountains. and also Himachal Pradesh was our first trip with friends and also we've been there for solo trips. I suggest Himachal Pradesh ❄☃️
Go anywhere you'd like, but there are a few things you could ensure on the trip to get the best out of your solo trip. Don't book a hotel, go for hostels instead. It's a great way to meet new people and the whole purpose of traveling solo is that you make new friends. don't make as many plans, keep buffer days for the unexpected plans that might crop up of the unexpected friends you make on the way. it's your first solo, so I would advise you to book prior to the trip. A few suggestions however for places you could start with for your solo trip are - Dharamshala/Mcleodganj
Rishikesh
jaipur/udaipur
Spiti also, research well, wherever you choose to go.
There are a lot of places to visit as solo. Before, you need to understand what things makes you smile, is it nature? animal lover? Once decided you can search the state which have more places what you like. If you are a bike lover then definitely you need to buckle up for Leh Ladakh, but it would be good if you make friends over there and travel together or take up your friend with you. Rajasthan is another palace where you can visit so many palaces around and can get to know about history of Rajasthan.
I went for my first ever solo backpacking trip this February end to Rajasthan but unfortunately had to cancel the trip midway due to corona scarce. I covered Jaipur,Udaipur and Jodhpur but couldn't go to Jaisalmer nor could i explore Jodhpur properly. You can go to Rajasthan for your first solo trip as you will find a lot of cheap hostels, home stays and rooms as there are a lot options and also i found the people of Rajasthan to be very kind and helpful. So pack your bags and dash into one of these states.
