If you're new into travelling, then don't just start visiting places, first research about them and also try to avoid places where there is no means of transport or places where accommodation is costly and no market is nearby example - kheerganga. You can't get stuck in these kind of places, if you'll got without planning. For other fellow travellers, They also can plan a group or solo trip by their own, as they are aware of the situations and the difficulties which we all face while travelling, in my opinion planning plotting is must if you're low on budget, also try to research about that place which you are choosing to visit, try to google them, get recommendations from sites like, tripoto, love triangle etc, these sites will help you in building best itinerary.
When it comes to travel "Never planned" for anything just get out and enjoy every moment you faced even though that's the tragic one too because I remember once I start solo travel I don't where to start and I end up in Vrindavan Mathura reached their at morning around 7 am when street food was preparing. So you see unplanned is awesome
One tip for travellers which I follow is “Never plan an itinerary beforehand” as that leave room for improvisation of the plan until last minute and its also adventurous!
Keep your daily life routine and worries at home and then leave....make it a point to travel light, be open to the different cultures and outlooks and experience the day as well as night life to actually know the place... also, communicate with the locals
