Yes. Because there is no bad time to visit Goa! But monsoons in Goa is actually a great time because everything is on discount and you can get amazing deals on hotel bookings and adventure activities.
A big YES to that Parth. The weather is much cooler in monsoons and its an off season so you could steal some really good deals on accomodation. However, this would restrict you to be mostly indoors, as most of the shacks remain close during this part of the year, specially in the touristy places. B
Yes, I was in Goa during monsoon and absolutely enjoyed it! Since it was the off season, I could get the best of accommodations at a great price. The Rain, the Sea, and the lush green fields- You have all the more reasons to be there. Happy Travelling!
During monsoons, other than the fact that you will get cheap accommodation, relatively inexpensive airfare and empty beaches, Goa also hosts numerous festivals during this season. It starts from the festival of St Peter in July, where floating stages are constructed on the rivers, to the Bonderam Festival in August that takes place on the Divar Island. This festival boasts of vibrant parades and gigs by local bands.
Yes, i just came back and it is amazing . Goa has a great green cover which gets even more beautiful in the rains. the beachside shacks will be closed but you have a lot of eating options available in Goa. And Goa is not just about water activities. Lot more to explore. Must do in monsoons
I had visited Goa during monsoons. Just the thing is you wont be able to do adventure water sports because of the weather. Secondly you will really find good deals on Hotels. And if you are looking for less crowded Goa, then surely go ahead with your monsoon plan and enjoy your trip to the fullest.
Personally, i enjoyed myself more during the on season.
During monsoons, its difficult visiting south goa cause the rains are pretty heavy sometimes.
Moreover, the shacks are closed.
Tourists are few. Most beaches are washed away cause the coastline comes near for eg. Arambol and Vagator are a site to watch during on season but become deserted during monsoons. The only population you get is at bagha.
Still if u want a peaceful soul searching vacation, u might think of goa at this time of the year
Beaches may not be as enjoyable as in the winter months, but the lush green vegetation of the Western ghats towards the East and south of Goa is magnificent.
Hi
If you are planning to relax and enjoy the greens then you can head. As it is off season you may also get best deal on hotel and flight tickets. If you are an adventurous person and planning to plunge in various water sports then monsoon is a bad time to visit Goa.
