Pondicherry in Tamil Nadu Kaziranga National Park, Assam. Auli, Uttarakhand. Thrissur, Kerala. Manali, Himachal Pradesh. Hi Sanjusha, december is perfect time to travel anywhere in India as the weather is pleasant. If you want to witness snow you can head to Manali, Shimla, Auli or Kashmir. If you want culture, you can visit Jaisalmer, Jodhpur.
you can also head out to Rann of Kutch. If you are a beach person you can head to Andaman or Goa. I'm attaching with this message a post that will help you decide your location.

Since people tend to travel to warmer locations like Rajasthan and Gujarat in winters you can travel to mountains. In places like Manali, Auli, Kashmir and Shimla, hotels slashes their price during winter season. You can head there

There is a place called Auli in Uttarakhand, i have been there last year in december. If you are also a person who would like to go to an off beat place like me. Just head on there. It's a beautiful place with a bit of crowd. Happy travelling. :)

UpvoteCommentIn my point of view, we have to travel to December with family in India and come to Orissa that situated in the eastern part of India to see many temples and more sightseeing place to watch and for accommodation they have a 4-star hotel like The HHI Bhubaneswar which provides best services for tourist with all facilities available.

Why don't you plan for heavenly beautiful Andaman but yes it is peak season for tourism there in December.
Advance books would be beneficial.
