Hey Puneet, According to the latest news only this has been cleared that Sikhs can visit Kartarpur Sahib without any visa. I think Non-Sikhs might need a visa. But it isn't easy to get Pakistan visa without any specific reasons like religious or meeting an old family member there.

You only have to show passport as a Identity Proof (Their will be no Stamps on passport, it will be used just as a Identity Proof).Their will be $20 Fee for visiting kartarpur sahib for all Indians.
