It was my third trip to Europe. This time due to some other schedule I could make only small one day or half day tours. As I was residing in Cologne, thought to explore the nearby places in order to utilize the short span of time for my passion.
I found an interesting place on Google that was Lindenthaler Tierpark. It was just hardly 45 mins away from the place I was living. Took Tram no.1 from Mohnweg upto Maarweg. Then it took around 20 -25 mins to reach Lindenthaler park by walk. On the way on both of the sides there is fairly thick forest of tall trees and some lush green land in between. Some horse riding tracks are kept reserved in this Jungle. All trees were seen leafless as Autumn was just over otherwise I could see the stunning orange and yellow leave shower.
When reached the entrance I was expecting ticket window there. But shocked to know the entry was free. It was really pleasing to see ducks, swans, hen, few Pickocks flying and wandering freely in the park. Some were playing in the water of Brooke flowing in the middle of park. They were not bother about the visitors. Similarly animals like ships, deers, also wandering among the visitors. As it was working day, the park was not much crowded. Many people came there along with their babies. Animal feed is made available there through vending machines at very negligible cost. So, people were taking it and feeding it to the birds and animals with the hands of their babies. And the animals were also quite familiar to it. There are few more animals like Yak, Wild Bull, Donkey but they are behind bars but people could feed them from outside. Really every visitor and the kids were seen enjoying their every moment in the park. Some of the visitors including me were busy in photoshoot. The sky was cloudy. I was shivering due to the cold breeze. I got my coffee in my bag. The park is having clean and hygienic washroom also. At the end of the park there is one more gate and a road passing through jungle. Some of the people were enjoying Cycling there.
I could not notice that I spent 2 hrs in the park. It was very short but memorable trip.
