Away from the pollution of the city lies a resort in the midst of the beautiful Nilgiris. I was elated at the idea of spending a weekend in the lap of green forests surrounded by spice plantations. Nature Resort, a luxury property lies at a distance of about 20 minutes from Ooty. Away from the crowd of Ooty and Coimbatore, the resort is an ideal destination for those looking for peace, luxury and no mobile network!

Nature Resort is an ideal destination for honeymooners, families, friends and anybody who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. You can simply cut off from the world at this resort because it has no mobile network connectivity apart from BSNL. However, they have WiFi facility in all the rooms and at the lobby. Since the property is quite huge, you can opt for a quick pick up and drop off in their golf car.
About Nature Resort
Nature Resort is a memorable experience for every guest. The beautiful resort has rooms equipped with amenities of a five star hotel. There are 22 rooms overlooking the hills. The view from every room is stunning. You can hear the birds chirping and enjoy the sound of flowing water throughout the day and night. There are two Jacuzzi suites and eight suites out of the 22 rooms. All the rooms come with a cozy bed, a dedicated seating area, huge bathrooms (Yes!) and all the basic amenities like AC, TV, tea coffee accompaniments and mini bar. The striking feature of the room is your very own library! Every room has a cupboard with a collection of books for you. Sit back and enjoy your favorite book while watching the world pass by. The rooms have a balcony that overlooks the forest. Each room has a dressing space and the bathroom is larger in size than the bathrooms at most luxury hotels.
Food
You will be delighted with the extensive menu options when it comes to food. There is one restaurant at Nature Resort where they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The best part about the restaurant is the view it offers. They serve veg and non-veg and also have a special menu for children. It has a stunning ambiance, exceptional service and mouthwatering food. The chef, Murali is an extraordinary cook and will be happy to take special requests.
They have a separate garden area where they serve snacks in the evening. The snacks are accompanied by tea and coffee which is prepared there itself. The views from up here are quite unmatched! The team spoilt me with a tree top dinner. They arranged a beautiful dinner for me at the tree top and served traditional Karumba delicacies. The tree top dinner is a favorite of honeymoon couples.
Activities
There are a number of activities for you to indulge in. You will not get bored at this property. They arrange adventure activities at the property and also have an indoor play area for children and adults. You can take a dip in the luxurious pool which overlooks the forest. They also arrange live music and bonfire everyday near the pool. Further, there is a spa where you can relax your mind and body. You can also head on a spice plantation tour inside the property and learn about the variety of plantation existing for many years there. They offer an entire wish engineering package for you to choose from.
Service
Exceptional! When it comes to service, this is the best I have experienced. Right from the minute I entered the property and throughout my stay, the service was up to the mark. The staff is courteous and extremely helpful at all times. They confirm your arrival, ask for special requests and are always there to fulfill your demands.
How to reach
The nearest airport is Coimbatore (54km away) and Ooty is about 32 km away. The hotel offers pick up and drop facility at both the locations. You need to seek driving directions from Mettupalayam if you are driving on your own.
I would personally recommend a visit to this property and I will definitely be revisiting it at the earliest. For those who love nature and peace, this is the best resort for you. The staff will leave no stone unturned to pamper you.
