We were to stay at Coimbatore for 2 nights and were checking for some good hotels. Since we are familiar with the Lemon Tree brand and have stayed across locations in their chain of hotels, we decided to book the premium room.
The hotel is located outside of the central city. Thus, the location might be suitable for business travelers as there is almost no disturbance. However, this is too far from the city for families on vacation. But the hotel in itself is beautiful from the inside. When we entered the hotel, we were greeted with the regular lemon scene, which is a trademark of all the lemon tree hotels. The receptionists were warm and professional and helped us quickly finish the check-in formalities.
Once we were inside the room, it was amazing to see the room being perfectly spic and span with a fantastic ambiance. The bathroom was clean and sanitized, and all the toiletries were well-placed. The room had a view of the parking area from the window. There was also a king-sized bed and an additional bed adjusted in the room since we were 3 pax, yet the room did not feel uncomfortable or cramped. The room also contained a sofa on one end, a mini study table with a chair, and all the electrical connections in place for a laptop. Thus, the room was perfect for family trips as well as for business trips.
The restaurant was located on the ground floor. The breakfast spread was amazing and contained everything from North Indian to South Indian, cut fruits, juices, detox juices, cakes, toast, tea/coffee, etc. The taste was delicious; you could also get dosas or parathas on a made-to-order basis. The paneer parathas we ordered and topped off with some butter were some of my best ones. Delicious and soft, the paneer, too, was fresh. A special mention goes to Kalai, Rajkiran, and Anbu, as all three of them provided an exceptional level of service. Anbu, in fact, was the one who got the paneer parathas made every time we wanted and was exceptionally professional.
The hotel also had other facilities. While the swimming pool was undergoing renovation and was closed, the second floor also had a fitness center. It contained all the equipment needed, from treadmills, ellipticals, and cycles to even weights. Thus, it was suitable for people who would stay for long. On the ground floor, there was also a conference cum banquet area that could be used to hold meetings when needed in case of business tours. Thus, all in all, the hotel was a delightful stay. Well-trained and professional staff, delicious breakfast, and super clean rooms. All at the right place.
