A long awaited solo trip to Rajasthan!

Day 1

With a motley of feelings, from nervousness to excitement to fear, anxiety, happiness and what not, I took a flight to Udaipur. Since I've already been to Udaipur once, the city didn't seem as inviting for this trip. I am more interested and eager to see other parts of Rajasthan. Impatient to see my roomie from college, I went ahead and took a government bus from Udaipur to Chittorgarh because that was the quickest medium available to get here. Given my experience, government buses are manageable. But oh boy, how wrong was I. The bus was tacky, nobody wore a mask. I thought about the last time I traveled so uncomfortably barely moving till I reached. More than the physical discomfort, cleanliness etc, the fact that people did not seem to be bothered about covid simply perplexed me. I was so anxious through the ride!

The two hours didn't seem so long as I went back to the view. The highways are great, I have to say. It wasn't a bunpy ride, literally at least.

My friend and I caught up and went to this amazing desi pizza place. It was quite a pleasant surprise. Delicious meals are irreplaceable. A walk in the chittorgarh fort and the view from there gave a nice closure to a long day. Can't wait for more but for now work taking over🙄. Yes, I will be working. Think I'm trying to still convince myself that the trip will be fun even with work. I will make sure of that, says a voice at the back of my head.
