We spent the last few days making our way to the Zhangjiajie National park (China) and explored the famous mountains of Pandora. Until a few weeks ago, I did not know this place existed. I am so fascinated by the natural beauty of this place wishing I could stay here longer. Zhangjiajie as captivating as it was, receives far too many visitors just like many other attractions which ultimately leads to high volume in noise and inconsideration by tour guides can contribute to spoil the spirit of this place. Keeping aside some inconvenience and distractions, this place does deserve a visit.

We stayed in the small town on the eastern end of the gate called Wulingyuan. Wulingyuan is a small town catering to tourists having many hotels and restaurants. It is about an hour mini-bus ride away from Zhangjiajie city. The most important spend was the entrance fee to the park which was approx 250 Yuan (£25), the ticket was valid for 4 days including the free bus ride from the park entrance to various spots in the park.

After spending 3 days in Wulingyuan town we came back on a nice sunny day to the Zhnagjiajie City, we stayed in a very comfortable hostel and went to see the famous Tianmen Mountain (the mountain with a hole).

This is one of the places in China which I would like to visit again. So until next time, adios.
