We arrived to this little town in central Turkey mainly to experience the world famous balloon ride but it was so much more than that. I was actually mainly impressed with the connectivity of small businesses this small town has, niceness ,the warmth of the people and the amazing food. From collecting us from the airport to arranging our balloon ride and day trip of Cappadocia to helping us with the shopping; our hotel connected us with all the relevant people and business and made our 2 day trip from Istanbul so smooth and memorable.
We arrived on Monday evening and left on Wednesday afternoon, perfect and more than enough time to cover everything including time for relaxation, wasn't rushed at all.
We flew to Cappadocia from the Asian side of Istanbul (old airport) ; so just a few tips :
1.don't fly back into the old airport as the traffic is crazy going back into the European side! Always fly into IST ( new airport)
2. Taxi fare is almost Rs.3000 ~260 TRY from European side to Asian side of Istanbul
3. Arrange your pick up and drop off with your hotel from the airport, much better and smoother that way.
