I randomly met four of the nicest girls I know when they were visiting Vegas for a bachelorette party. We kept in touch, hung out when they came to Vegas the next couple years, and last year I made the trek to Vancouver to visit them. I'd stopped in Vancouver a few times in transit but had never gotten to spend a lot of time in the city. This is one of my favorite trips in recent years.
Walked past a few seedy looking spots to find this gem but it was well worth it! Cute little cafe, great food, fun selection of beverages.
I have an obsession with macarons. In addition to tea, I always look for macarons in big cities. This place is by the designer shops downtown and it's wonderful. The macarons were fresh and the other pastries were amazing as well.
Everything I'd heard about Granville Island and market described it as a foodie's paradise. No joke, it is. The market is great for produce, plants, and other items. Great place to spend an afternoon.
This was an amazing place to get lunch. Sit outside and try one of the funky sodas. The seafood soup was DELICIOUS as were the Little Duckers. Such a great meal.
My friend Tara was NOT going to let me go my first day without trying poutine. This is her fave place to get it and I was not disappointed.
I had no idea there were so many beaches in Vancouver. This one was a bit more crowded but just as beautiful. Nice place to walk.
Great spot by the beach with a nice view. Someone dropped a plate nearby and while our food/drink were not disturbed, management still insisted comping a round of drinks and some desserts. Pretty nice!
Interesting spot. Heard Kristen Stewart had come here for her birthday so we were curious. Cool menu and atmosphere. Just stopped by for desserts and they were great.
Heard that Robert Pattinson is obsessed with their kobe meatballs. Apparently he really knows his meatballs because they were awesome. Got some pasta and poutine, also delicious.
Stopped by for afternoon tea on my last day. Great set-up and lay-out, the food and tea were really lovely. Booked this as a package with the art museum next door through Expedia. Pretty good discount!
One of the best macaron places I've been to so far. Bright and airy, amazing selection. I wanted one of everything.
Interesting history and it was featured in a Twilight movie... Geeky, I know but still kinda cool.
We don't get a lot of peaceful afternoons at the lake in Vegas, so my friends brought me here for the afternoon. Nice and quiet, lots of geese.
Great views and some interesting attractions. Check out the Lego killer whale and the strange Olympic torch that looks like a pile of matches.
Ok, this was used in Twilight; HOWEVER, it's a really gorgeous peaceful park with some beautiful scenery. Really quiet, nice place to hang around away from the city.
Nice smaller beach with some really cool shells. First beach I went to in Vancouver and not as gorgeous as the others but still kinda cool.
So cool to see real totem poles. I've only ever seen the ones at Disney. Great view of the downtown area right across the street too!
Great history and fun to walk around. Do the self-guided walking tour if you're interested in the historic aspect.
Always a great selection and the custard tarts are consistently good at just about any Maxim's Bakery.
Great bakery; my friend Tara liked the cookies she bought for her fiance so much, I think she ate half of them before we got them back to her house.
Nice spot by the water; good fish and chips. Great for a large group like we had.
