Yes, you read that right. Everyone has heard of Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab, but what very fewer people know about is Gurudwara in Anandpur Sahib also famous as Takth Shri Anandpur Sahib. Compared to the Golden Temple, you won't find many crowds there and is one of the best places to discover inner peace. Just beside the Gurudwara, you can find Virasaat-e-Khalsa, a museum of Sikhism where you will get to know about the history of Sikh. Everything from how Sikhism started to how 21 people defeated more than 10,000 Afghan tribesmen. Golden Temple looks so beautiful at night when all the lights are lit. Another famous place in Punjab is Wagah Border, which I guess everyone who visited Punjab knows of. It is the same place from where Wing Commander Abhinandan came back to India. Every day a parade ceremony happens before 2 hours of sunset and the flag ceremony is conducted together by BSF and Pakistan Rangers. The gallery has a capacity of around 50,000. Watching the ceremony is free, though it is advisable to book tickets for special entry. I didn't know about the special entry before I visited and hence had to sit a bit far from the ceremony area. When I visited (May end) the ceremony started at around 6 PM and lasted 20-25 minutes and I can't explain the goosebumps I got when everyone started Chanting "Bharat Mata Ki Jay". Once in a lifetime experience, it was.
