So, what is the Heritage Special train all about?

This 'Heritage Special' train is created using modern technology, however, it looks like a vintage steam engine. The special train is powered by electricity and has been launched to help passengers experience a unique journey. It has been developed in collaboration between the Golden Rock Railway Workshop in Tiruchirappalli, Perambur and Avadi and will be first tested on long heritage routes and later opened for tourists. The Railway Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has himself given approval to the concept of 'Virasat Bhi Vikas Bhi' which closely translates to 'Heritage and Development should go together' and insisted that this initiative should be taken forward.

This novel concept is sure to excite many passengers and will no doubt provide a great opportunity for people to travel the length and breadth of the country while getting an exclusive view of India's rich heritage. The train will be first tested on long heritage routes, and later it will be open for passengers in a few months' time. So make sure to book your tickets and experience an unforgettable journey!
