Day 1: Arrival in Egypt
Arrival at Cairo airport. You will be met and assisted by our representative who will help you through the arrival and visa regulations. Transfer to your hotel for free time.
Day 2: Great Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Saqqara
Your real holiday starts right now.
Today, you will visit the Giza Plateau. Today’s tour includes the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure with the great Sphinx. The only ancient wonder which still remains (Khufu’s pyramid) awaits you. Are you ready to discover it from inside?
Today you will learn about the history of the pyramids, how they were constructed, and why they were constructed? Then on to the first pyramid in history, the Step Pyramid of King Djoser at Saqqara.
Transfer to Giza Railway to board your seated train to Aswan.
Day 3: Aswan Tour
Meet and assist at Aswan Railway by your guide and commence your tour to Philae Temple, the High Dam, and the granite quarry of the Unfinished Obelisk. Transfer to your hotel in Aswan. Free evening in Aswan.
Day 4: Kom Ombo - Edfu - Luxor
Breakfast at the hotel, then drive to Luxor with visits to the twin Temple of Horus and Sobek along with the Crocodile Museum in Kom Ombo, and the most intact temple in Egypt of Horus at Edfu. Take your lunch at a local restaurant. Transfer to Luxor to check-in to your hotel. Free evening in Luxor.
Day 5: Luxor Highlights
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, and Colossi of Memnon on the west bank of Luxor. Take your lunch at a local restaurant, then proceed to Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. Transfer to Luxor Railway to board your seated train to Cairo.
Day 6: Egyptian Museum, Saladin Citadel and Khan El-Khalili
Today, you are exploring the fantastic contents of the historical Egyptian Museum at Tahrir Square in Cairo. Hundreds of objects from all periods of the Egyptian past are displayed on the two floors of the museum. The eye-catching objects such as the golden treasure of Tutankhamen, the silver treasure of Psusennes I, the diorite statue of Khafre, and several other pieces are on view. From the museum to the Citadel of the Sunni Muslim leader Saladin, built-in 1172 to protect Cairo against the Crusaders. The White Mosque of Mohammed Ali Pasha is a prominent feature of the Citadel. You will finish your tour at the historical bazaar of Khan El-Khalili, the largest bazaar in the Middle East.
Day 7: Alexandria Highlights
Today, you are driving to the beautiful City of Alexandria, the capital city of Egypt during the Greco-Roman era. Your tour includes the famous Roman Catacombs at Kom El Shoqafa, Pompey’s Pillar, the Citadel of Qaitbay, and the Library of Alexandria from outside. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. After the tour, you drive back to Cairo.
Day 8: Fly home
Transfer to Cairo airport for final departure. It is really sad to leave, so ask our guide about your next adventure in Egypt.
