Brussels on a winter weekend!

We arrived Brussels on a Saturday afternoon. We were staying at hotel "Midi-Zuid" which is a 10 mins walk from the train station and 20-25 mins walk from the Grand Place. The first day or rather evening, we decided to walk around in the streets near "Grand Place" and "Manneken Piss". The streets were packed with tourists as it was a Saturday evening and had lot to offer, mouth watering chocolates to french fries and of course Waffles!  It's beautiful from every corner and shopping enthusiast's would find it equally delightful. Manneken Pis is a bit underwhelming , but just to tick it off the list, one can visit it as it doesn't take much effort to reach, being quite close to the Grand Place.
Watching Grand Place is truly a blessing, both by the day and night. I'd recommend to visit at twilight. There is a beer tasting place at Grand Place which you should try. By this time we were tired and decided to call it a day after a peaceful supper along with some great beer.

You gotta bring your comfy shoes of you really wanna enjoy Belgium. We started our Sunday with a heart full breakfast and took a train to Elizabeth park. It was a sunny Sunday 🌞. The park is a good picture spot for photography lovers. Just opposite to one end of the park is "National Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Koekelberg". It's worth a visit. After that, we roamed nearby streets and also checked out a chocolate workshop kinda place. Then we decided to visit Atomium. As we took a bus from Elizabeth park, we got off at "Parc de Laeken". The walk from the park to Atomium was ecstatic. I'd highly recommend you to take a tour of the Atomium from inside. After this,we visited "mini Europe" which is just adjacent to Atomium and is again a must "go to" place! As the name suggests, it has miniature replicas of all the attractive places and structures from all over the Europe. That's how we summed up our short stay at Brussels. We might have missed a few things or places but we enjoyed those walks and those streets. That's what we went for and that's exactly what we did. :) Next morning we were headed to Bruges and that place has my heart!  #tenphotos
