Bruges, an hour away from the capital city of Brussels by train, is one of the major cities in Belgium that has recently gained popularity as a tourist destination because it offers rich Belgian history and culture. Picturesque cobbled lanes and dreamy canals link photogenic market squares lined with soaring towers, historical churches and lane after lane of old whitewashed almshouses.
It’s been described as like being in a dream… a city lost in time with a fairy-tale allure. You can almost picture the latticework of canals. The sweet smell of chocolate lingers in the air. Medieval marvels hide around every corner, awaiting your discovery.
