In case if you didn't know, the first ever Paragliding world cup was held here. Bir Billing is world famous spot in India for Paragliding. People from every corner of the world come here primarily to try this adventure sports. You'll meet so many professional paragliders who might end up becoming your friends. This is not an adventure you and your friends want to miss!

I stayed at GoStops Hostel which is at walking distance from the bus stand area. Hostels in Bir are much more affordable, accessible and enjoyable when we are travelling in a group and the plus point that it offers over the hotel rooms is the freedom to enjoy within the premises.

There are 13 Monasteries in in Bir, 4 out of them are in walking distance from the main bus stand of Bir. Tsering Jong, Nyingyang Monastery, Mriga Dava and Chokling Monastery are the closest ones from the Landing Site.

Bir, being the world’s second highest spot for paragliding has evolved as one of the top visited towns in Himachal Pradesh. Over the years, there has been a gradual growth in the number of cafes and restaurants in Bir, especially around the landing site. They not only offer mouth watering delicious food but also an amazing view of Dhauladhar Range. If you feel hungry after having fun time with your friends exploring Bir, hunger pangs strike, you should go to any one of cafes near the landing site . They offer beautiful ambiance with music, which will give you memories for the lifetime.
