Best budget Hostel starting Rs 300/- a night in BIR for workation!

Well, work from home has been a blessing if truth be told. Specially for the people like us, who love to travel and have to rely on those 15 days of holidays for leaves.

But the workation concept has been a hit and we have enjoyed our share of workation at some marvelous locations. We have been to Goa, Kerala and Himachal for workations but one particular place really caught our vibe was the one in BIR, Himachal Pradesh.

For those of you who don't know, BIR is a small village in Himachal Pradesh, famous for its paragliding activities. It is the WORLD'S SECOND LARGEST paragliding site, and Asia's best. So naturally we had this place in our mind for long. But the biggest challenge while planning workation is to find a place to stay, one which has a good wifi (because can't miss out on those zoom calls), good food, and most importantly pocket friendly. After a lot of searching and discussions we finally found a hostel, which suited all our needs.

Hostelite World, is a newly opened hostel in BIR (it opened last year in 2021). Needless to say, the place felt fresh, and different to the other hostels that we have been to. The hostel is located near the Bir Volvo bus stand, which was a plus point for us, as it saved us some walking :P

Coming to the hostel, the hostel has a lovely vibe to it, with beautiful murals and paintings all throughout the place. Safe to say it's the most colorful hostel in BIR.

The rooms are cozy, with attached washrooms. The dorms were equally clean and comfortable.

Another part which we loved about the hostel is the common room, which is painted beautifully. It has got some beautiful outdoor views to it. Not to forget a variety of interesting novels, board games and projector is available in the common area, in case you want to indulge in some games.

Hostelite world is a pet friendly hostel and you can anytime bring in your furry friends with you or just give belly rubs to the hostel dog Bagheera, who is a total cutie.

Also, they have the best chefs. While on workation, food is a very important factor, as you will be eating most of the time at the hostel. Although there are many cute cafes available in BIR, but lets face it, the heart craves for homecooked food after a particular time. The food, also, is surprisingly available at very affordable prices.

Private rooms: INR 1800/- for a room

Workation (minimum 2 weeks):

Dorm rooms: INR 400/- per person

Private rooms: INR 1800/- for a room

Monthly packages:

Dorm rooms: INR 9000/- for whole month

Private rooms: INR 25000/- for whole month
