Vijayapura ,the land of domes' is built by adil shah. You will see lots of domes over the entire city which is quite warm. Vijayapura is around 70kms from my hometown(Banahatti). I left my home around 7am in the morning and reached the city at 8.45am. I headed straight to the very famous "Gol Gumbaz", the largest dome in India and the second largest in the world. With sun hitting the top of the dome, the place looked beautiful. I had light b'fast at the canteen near to the place. Then headed towards Ibrahim Roza,the burial place of emperor Ibrahim adil shah alongside his wife Taj Sultana.After this, i went to see the Jod Gumbaz,bara kamaan,Shiva Temple, shivagiri ,Juma maszid,Upli Burj,mallik maidan and sangeet mahal.
I would suggest you visit this city, you can cover this place in one day.
