Silky silk route

Old silk route is in east sikkim. The old silk route  connected with Bhutan and chaina.
Whole silk route is just fabulous, you can see snow covered mt. kanchenjunga from very close.
Silk route can be visited during all the time of the year except for rainy season and winter season when the road blocked with heavy snowfall.
Silk route is home of many high altitude animals  and birds like Ghoral, blue ship, hawk dear, monal, blood pheasants route  started from kalimpong  westbengal and passed through  silery gaon aritar, ziluk, thambi, jolep la,
You can go to visit  the old baba mandir, nathula pass the indo- tibbet border,  gnathang velly, thambi view point ( from  where can you see the whole silk route.
You have to go silk route by package.
Hotels are very basic mostly home stays, foods are simple but tasty.
