No matter from which point you are entering the 'happiest country' of the world, be it through the roads of Pheuntsholling or the airport at Paro, the striking differences of nature in abundance will surely shake your soul, even if for a split of a second and make you 'happy', instantly.
Yes. Bhutan, the land of thunderdragons, the only carbon negative country of our beloved world will have an impact on your mind and on your perspective of living for a long time. The country, since its inception, has been a secret to the rest of the world. And even in these days of globalisation, it continue to hold onto its culture and values like no other country in the world.
I along with my wife visited Thimpu, Paro and Punakha Valley in the summer of 2019. The rivers (Chu in Bhutanese) and the Dzongs are symbol of each and every city of Bhutan. The Tiger's Nest or Paro Taktsang being the grandest of all. Punakha offers a landscape of a valley and the beauty of a Dzong like never before. Thimpu, with its Memorial Chorten and beautiful Buddha Statue nestled on top the hill, keeps its position as the capital city of India's most favoured neighbour. The road trip to Chele La Pass, the highest point in Bhutan, is one of a kind in each and every season, from flowers to snowfalls. Dochula is no less in beauty. Overall, a trip to Bhutan will make a significant impact in your heart that you'll start craving to this beautiful beautiful country once again, at least once more in your lifetime. Here are some memories I would like to share with all of you.
