Bhimtal- A Peaceful Weekend Getaway

Bhimtal is a famous and peaceful place in Kumaon region of Uttarakhand.It is named after the famous character of Mahabharata,i.e Bhim. Bhimtal is now becoming famous amongst tourists.

One of the famous place in Bhimtal is "Bhimtal lake".It is situated at an altitude of 1370mt above sea level.

In between the lake there is a fish aquarium where different species of fish can be seen which are very beautiful.Bhimtal lake is becoming a famous attractions and perfect destination amongst tourists.In bhimtal lake,boating is a must thing to do so that u can see the whole scenic view of the lake and the city.Zorbing is also becoming famous in the lake.People can visit here in any months and enjoy this destination. There are several restaurants and cafe near the lake from where people can have snacks and enjoy the beauty of the lake. It is a perfect weekend getaway,as many tourists visits here in the weekend so that they can feel relaxed. Bhimeshwar temple is near the lake at a walking distance.This temple is dedicated to lord Shiva.This temple was built in 17th century. Tea cultivation is also done here many tea estate can also be seen here.
