It's not the usual uncle's house, it's actually a house in the mountains where you have to walk through steep hills just to get to the house.
Father planned a 3day trip for us to go to Bharmour (small village in chamba). We all have to go even though I didn't want to. So we started the journey early in the morning, in my heart I knew that this was going to be trip to the temples. After driving for more than 8 hours we reached our destination, a place beautiful as heaven, next to the mountains covered in snow. We parked our car and have to walk uphill to reach at my uncle's house.
In the centre of Apple orchard there was a three storey house built entirely with mud bricks and wood. This blue and white painted house has stolen my heart, and the view from that place was unexplainable like if you see down the hill there was the river Ravi flowing through the mountains, in front of you the mountains covered in snow and all around you there was apple trees loaded with unriped green apples.
For next three days we just travelled through those mountains not by car but we trek the mountain path, roaming around in the Apple orchards, climbing on the peach trees to fetch the golden fruit and meeting native gaddi (shepherds) community.
We tried the wild goat meat with the moonshine naming as. Had the chance to see some old rituals that are lost somewhere in modern community now. At last we even visited temple, the famous Lord Shiva temple know as chourasi mandir in bharmour.
That day I got to know something for sure that my dad is not the person that I think he is, inside him there is a Traveller living who just want the chance to overthrow the current personality. It's been a 18 months to this trip and since then we have travelled two different road trips only my dad and me. I think I have found the Banjara partner for me to travel.
