"Gavimath" is one of the ancient Mathas (Kind of Hermitages ) established by Gavisiddeshwara swamiji in the bygone days

The Gavimath is situated in the Koppal city in the northern interior of karnataka state. The Spiritual destination is perched in the foothills of rocky terrain and home to Ashokan edicts

Mahadasoha : The annual car festival is also known as "Rotti Jatre" ( Festival of Roti's) Here, devotees offer more than lakhs of "Jowar rotis" to the visitors during car festival. Loads of food grains , vegetables and groceries are offered piously by devotees on the great occasion

Its estimated that more than 20 lakh devotees eat here in 15 days of period. The destination is well connected by Road and Rail from Hubli and Bellary .
