Day 1

Left from belgaum, boarded on a bus for an overnight journey to Bengaluru.

Reached Bengaluru in the early hours and we had to spend the rest of the day at the state capital and wait for our buses in the evening.
The city is known for it's beer brewing bars and restaurants.
So we had a good place to hangout for the noon.
By the evening we boarded our buses to kodai and left Bengaluru by 9pm from the local bus station.

Day 2

And after the 8hr journey, we were awakened by the cozy breeze and rays of sunlight. Surely felt the temp drop.
One step out of the bus, and we were  overwhelmed by the taxi drivers welcoming us to open their accounts for the day. We certainly had some hesitancy to get in, and decided to search room all by ourselves.
After denying a few hotels, we stepped in the balcony of an another hotel, n dropped our bags then and there.
Bargained for a few bucks, and rushed back to the room to get into the balcony again.

That space above, was our state of mind- Blank
Mesmerized with the view, we somehow managed to settle down, after clicking a pile of pictures, uploading them, and doing the mandatory calls to home.
The pics uploaded do no justice.
We freshened up, and got ourselves to the nearby hotel for the breakfast.
Just when we had a couple of  bananas' to get ourselves in the calming mood. (Ifyouknowwhatimean).
Our hungry tummys got filled with the idlis n the dosas.
South Indian feels*
We then got a no. Of the local agencies which provided local tours of the city.
300-400 per person, was certainly worth the tour.
Few of the spots were
A stone and a monument, built by the British, can't really remember the name.

The Pine Forest , where we collected some pine buds, clicked a few decent pictures and got on our way back .
On the way we came across certain points which were infamous for the accidents which took place there (read suicides).

A walk at the Bryant park was definitely a calming one.
Nevertheless, the ride, cold white winds , along the ghats of the hills under the blanket of fog, was more than a good experience.
P.s - Maggi and bread omlette really taste crazy over the top, which became our staple food for the rest of the tour.
Getting back to our rooms, we certainly had our part of fun enjoying the night view of the city.

Day 3

Day 3

All set after having a few dosas, we then called for a tourist cab to explore a nearby place - Vattekanal .
Had a chat with our guide cum driver who explained us about the 'magic mushrooms', which promised to give you a good high. Although it wasn't available then, missed our chance, so we just settled for some 'bananas' again.
He then took us to a trek through the jungles of Vattekanal, which lead us to a beautiful waterfall. We found a fancy  bark for us to have fancy pictures clicked.
After which we were taken to a famous spot nearby, The Dolphin nose point (100 fantasy credits for visualising how it'd be) :p
At the peak of a mountain, there laid a long stone. Had to stand in a queue for us to go by the edge and view probably a mesmerizing yet frightening scene from the apparent Dolphin's nose. Had a seat each, turn by turn, and got the desired wallpapers clicked.
We had our lunch, basically Maggi and omelette,  by the stalls on our way back.
This somehow was the best scenic experience from the entire trip.
So if in Kodai, a day in Vattekanal is must.
On our way back to the room, we bought quite a lot of homemade chocolates. Actually tasting the sample chocolates at each n every shop was more fun.
Also, we found Domino's nearby, and I probably had the best paneer makhni pizza ever.
We then got onto our buses and left for Banglore by the night.
This trip turned out to be the best unplanned trip.
