I am sure you all must have heard about these valleys and the picturesque view of the snow-capped mountains, a beautiful river and standing tall luscious green pine trees. Let me give a walk through in these offbeat yet adventurous locations -

Trithan and Jibhi Valley are located in the Kullu district with the elevation of 1600 metres above the sea level. They are also a part of the great Himalayan National Park (A UNESCO world heritage site).  Apart from the scenic beauty, these valleys also offer an amazing wildlife and a natural habitat for trout fishing. The river Tirthan and Beas is filled with brown and rainbow coloured trouts. You can enjoy the crystal-clear waters of Serlosar Lake, a memorable trek to Jalori Park (altitude of 3120 meters) from where you can see beautiful Dhauladhar Mountains. You can also walk to Chhoie Waterfalls. Even if you don’t want to explore, you can immerse yourself in the scenic beauty of the mesmerizing mountains after 6 months of lockdown in the concrete walls.

For your safety, the Himachal government has taken the following steps –

• Hotel staff will stay in the hotel. They will have no contact with the locals.

• Only 50% occupancy is allowed.

I understand that it’s a very tough time for all of us but tourism industry has suffered a major decline and many had their livelihood depending on this industry. That’s why the government has taken such a major step to help the local community. So, make sure when you travel – wear masks, carry sanitizers, wash your hands as frequently as possible and do follow social distancing.

Safe travels.
