Land of white elephants : Thailand

White elephants ,which are big creature of southeast Asia, are native animals of Thailand.
These white elephants are rare animals considered as symbol of wealth , fortune and power.
Also National symbol of Thailand is white elephant.
Thailand has a lower currency than that of India.
So visiting Thailand is affordable for Indians.
Many Indians go to Thailand for their vacations.
Today in this blog I will tell you about Thailand.

Thailand is famous for its royal palaces, beaches, ancient architecture, ruins , Budha temples , malls etc. All of these are worth watching.
Thailand means ' land of the free ' or Siam. Initially Thailand is known as Siam. Until 1939 Thailand is popular as 'Siam '
Someone says that Tai people , considered Thailand as land of Tai. Therefore this place is popular as Thailand.
Popular cities of Thailand are :
1. Bangkok
2. Chiang Mai
3. Phuket
4. Pattaya city
5. krabi
6. Pai etc.

Capital of Thailand is Bangkok. Biggest and top tourist destination Bangkok is world 's best city. This city is a tourist hub.
There are many places related to Budha, art , ancient palaces in Bangkok. Some of them are :

1.  Wat Phra Kaew:
It is a beautiful Budhist temple famous in world for its unique statue. It opens daily from 8:30 to 3:30 .
Entrance fee is 500 Baht.

2. Wat Pho: largest Budhiest temple of Bangkok covering area of 80000 square metres.
This Budhiest temple is a home of thousand Budha monks.

3. Wat Arun: It is also Buddhist temple of Bangkok. It has a beautiful location near river and unique design that makes this temple different from others.

4. Giant swing : A large swing considers as religious structure of Bangkok. There is no entry fee to view this Giant swing.

5. Erawan Shrine: It is a Hindu temple. It has beautiful Brahma statue. Brahma is Hindu God. One of three Main Hindhu God's Brahma, Vishnu , Mahesh.

6. Vimanmek  Mansion : It is a Royal Villa. It is constructed in 1900. This Royal villa is of Euperopian style. It's structure is 'L' shaped having dimensions of 60 meters to 20 meters.

7. Jim Thompson House: Jim Thompson was a American who built silk industry after world war 2. Now his house turns into museum having collection of Asian Art and many antique as well as unique things.

Things to do in Thailand :

Except visiting tourist sites of Bangkok, you must enjoy these things :

1. Safari world : In Bangkok, wonderful family  destination is safari world where you can see more than 100 animals in natural habitat. It coveres 660 acres of land. Also there are many special shows organised by different animals like monkeys, dolphins etc.
Outside food and drinks are not allowed. In safari work you have plenty of food options.
Ticket cost is 750 THB.

2. Thai food :
Thai food is popular among world whose dishes are salty, sweet and sour in taste. Thai dishes mostly contain thick noodles, lamb, beef, fish, vegetables, sauces etc.
Enjoy street thai food also. Cost is not more than 30-60 Baht.
So do forget to taste Thai food.
