Bangkok! I stayed at the "HQ Hostel" in the Silom area because of it being near some cat cafes, temples, Lumpini Park, some ukulele stores, and not as much of a party area as some other parts. Cost about $26 for a small but clean private room.
After the street market in Lumpini Park I met up with James a long time friend that now lives in BKK. He kindly treated me to really fantastic dim sum at a Michelin star restaurant. All the food was great, and I had a lemon grass juice with a giant frozen lemon grass juice sphere in the center. It was heavenly! I must try making that at home. As I was leaving I spotted my second Thai kitty! She jumped into the 2 inch deep fountain and had a drink.
