Embark on a soul-nourishing day trip as we unravel the spiritual tapestry woven by the sacred sites of Sri Bhoga Nandishwara Gudi Temple, the scenic allure of Nandi Hills, and the divine energy at Adiyogi.
Road trip from Bangalore to the Temple:
As you depart from the bustling city of Bangalore, the hum of urban life gradually gives way to the rhythmic melody of tires on the open road. Lush greenery, rolling hills, and occasional glimpses of rural life accompany you on this soulful expedition. We started from Bangalore at around 11:30 am and reached the temple at 12:45 pm.
Afternoon at Sri Bhoga Nandishwara Gudi:
We commenced there with an icebreaker session among the team since it was a group trip involving numerous individuals who were unfamiliar with one another. Experience the resonating chants and timeless architecture of Sri Bhoga Nandishwara Gudi. Immerse yourself in the spiritual ambiance, exploring the intricate carvings, ancient rituals, and the sacred sanctum that echoes centuries of devotion.
Refreshing Repose and Lunch:
Following that, we enjoyed lunch amidst the scenic surroundings of Nandi Hills at Village Hut, immersing ourselves in the peaceful atmosphere and getting ready for the tranquil retreat that awaited us.
Midday Retreat to Nandi Hills:
As the day unfolds, set forth on a picturesque drive to Nandi Hills. Nestled amidst lush greenery, the hills offer a serene retreat. Take in the panoramic views, stroll through the historic Nandi Bull Temple, and revel in the tranquility that surrounds these majestic peaks.
Spiritual Awakening at Adiyogi:
As the sun dips below the horizon, the aura at Adiyogi transforms into a canvas waiting to be painted with light. Explore the enchanting fusion of light and sound at the Adiyogi. The immersive experience of the Light and Sound Show not only unveils the architectural brilliance of Adiyogi but also narrates a tale that transcends time. The play of colors on the 112-feet-tall statue creates a visual symphony that captures the essence of spirituality.
It serves as a great weekend escape for those residing in Bangalore. As I lacked personal transportation, I chose a group package that encompassed all amenities, providing a cost-effective package at a rate of 1400 per person.
Tips:
The only advice is to set out for Adiyogi a bit earlier, considering potential traffic delays, to avoid missing a few minutes of the Light and Sound Show, as we unfortunately did.
Also, some people prefer to visit the hills in the morning to experience the cloud-kissed sunrise, in which case you don't get to experience the light and sound show at Adiyogi.
A trip to Sri Bhoga Nandishwara Gudi, Nandi Hills, and Adiyogi weaves together the threads of ancient spirituality, natural beauty, and divine energy.
