Most metropolitan people live on coffee and many cafe chains know how to cash this caffeine-addict lifestyle where people hang out, work, study or just visit as one of their lifestyle routines. I belong to a smart city but I'm no lesser than a metropolitan because I have lived and visited these cities often, mostly Bangalore. And I'm also a coffee lover and I plan most of my dates at cafes. Hence, my love for various cafe chains is inexplicable. After checking out Starbucks, Dunkin, Costa coffee, Chai Point, and Chayos, my recent obsession is Third Wave Coffee roasters.
My Instagram followers thought that I was branding and promoting them as their ambassador because I was at most of these cafe stores on my recent trip to Bangalore. Indeed, I was promoting as Third wave coffee influencer and this blog has nothing to do with that though because anyone can become a coffee influencer in this particular chain and all you have to do is to install their application on your mobile.
Even my obsession started with this app itself. On one fine Sunday evening in September, my friend took me to one of the Third wave coffee stores in BTM layout when I was craving coffee and some cake. This cafe is my vibe completely, sophisticated, chic, and happening. As I'm mostly into themes, interiors, and ambiance, I got connected with the atmosphere instantly. I found the prices a bit pricey but trust me, they are all worth it because of the aroma and delicacy of food and beverages. My first order was a Caramel frappe with Chicken tikka sandwich, and it was tummy-filling for sure. Then I decided to check out the backdrop as I was new to this cafe chain. Then I came to know about the app through the cozy staff over there. They explained everything, and I installed the app and gave a surprise to my friend. That was how my coffee story continued in Bangalore till the end of the trip by involving all my friends.
If you install the app with a referral code, you and the person who refers you will get a free coffee after your first order. And, on top of that, you will get a 100 rupees discount on your first order too. This is the third-wave coffee hack where a person can get free coffee every time, he/she refers another person to join the third-wave coffee club. Also, one can earn coins on every order which can be redeemed after reaching 50 coins. If you make 3o purchases within 45 days, you can be a Third wave coffee influencer with extra benefits.
Imagine, in a metropolitan city like Bangalore, this cafe chain has established more than twenty coffee stores at various spots of the city. Strictly speaking, you can find these stores at almost every happening place and that's how I made use of my coffee brain and contacts to enjoy free coffees and also to hang out with my friends interestingly over this coffee hack. It was one mode of fun for me, but on a brighter note, I have literally dragged many people to these stores and also made them taste their fine coffees, of course after surprising the person who took me to this coffee store for the first time.
The next time I went alone to spend some me-time when I was quite messy with my trip schedules. I was at Nexus Shanti Niketan Mall's Third wave coffee roasters. This is pretty big and spacious compared to others. I had coffee, and sandwiches and spent time drafting a blog. It was fun and strictly speaking, I visited this store four times indeed. The first time I was all alone to get along with the atmosphere and the staff was amazing. The second time I took my bestie on a date to patch up with him as we were fighting for three days straight. All we had were death by chocolate cookies, a Paneer sandwich with chips, frappes, and cappuccinos.
The third time I went alone just to have a Mocha Sea salt Coffee. It was exotic to try but it was salty and bitter. It helped in elevating my moods though because I didn't want to fall asleep in an Imax of Cinepolis watching Poniyin Selvan movie on the first day. So, the coffee dosage was much needed. And the fourth time, I was with six of my other pals, referring them coffees, getting free coffee, and billing for more coffee, desserts, and food. It was fun indeed and I loved it so much because I was hanging out with all my closest pals from Bangalore. And this place has a good holding capacity of people, and you can find this store on the ground floor of the mall with a beautiful exterior view and aromatic interiors.
Not only in good times, but this cafe consoled me even on one of my worst days in Bangalore. I was at Indiranagar on a date in Daddy's club in 6th main, but it went ugly to the core as the person behaved so annoyingly toxic with his statements. So, I chucked it off and left in the search of a coffee. Then to my surprise, I found the store of Third wave coffee roasters just 300 meters away. So I went inside and ordered my almost favorite Caramel frappe with Choco chips to calm myself down. I was crying by sitting at one corner single seated table. Yeah, it was awkward and also refreshing because I was having a coffee and bumped into conversations with a couple when they saw me in such a sad state. That memory in that cafe stays intact in my brain for sure.
There are many Third wave coffee stores in Bangalore, but I realized that there is one near my brother's place where I generally stay whenever I visit Bangalore. It was the day when my brother's wife asked me to assist her in shopping. So, after checking out that Rajasthani exhibition at Marathahalli, I thought of taking her for a coffee to have that brother-sister-in-law date. Hence, we ended up at this cute and cozy coffee store on Varthur road. It was amazing because we went on a rainy afternoon to have hot cappuccinos, sandwiches again, and of course my favorite frappe. Then the same thing happened, my sis-in-law got surprised by the coffee hacks and she was all crazy over the deal because she has already spent quite some money without knowing the deals and the app. It was again a good day, a good coffee date, good memory to cherish.
Like this, I visited four Third wave coffee stores at BTM Layout, Indiranagar, Nexus Shantiniketan mall, and Varthur road in Bangalore on my recent trip. And as their tagline say: "Good coffee starts here", on your next visit take your caffeine shot at these stores.
