A day out with nature, some beautiful, exotic(and rescued) animals, and an opportunity to interact with and even touch them safely.....how does that sound? Maybe it sounds exciting, maybe intriguing or downright scary!
But here's a small place in Bangalore which offers this experience.
ABOUT PRANI
Prani is a green space where animals and humans co-exist. It is an initiative of 'Into The Wild', a Bangalore based startup. The educator takes a small group of people around the park, telling them about the animals, the species, their special features which help them survive in their environment, and guide everyone how to touch, feel, feed and interact with the animals.
OUR EXPERIENCE
We petted an Iguana, fed a horse, took rabbit, hamster and guinea pig in our lap, took a gerbil in our hands, frolicked with goats, posed with emus and petted them, and had birds sit on our heads , hands and basically anywhere they could find. This was an especially fun-filled and educational session for my Toddler, who's still learning about the world and wants to hold animals but we don't let him near them both due to fears of our own, and the fear that either he or the animal might get injured due to incorrect handling. The tour took us around 1.5 hrs.
HOW TO REACH
It is located on Kanakpura road, and it's best to go by car to reach there.
BOOKING
Charges are Rs 400 per head. Pre-booking is mandatory as per their website. In case you want to do a walk in, please contact them first to check if they are taking walk-ins. We went on a weekday so we did a walk-in after informing them.
So, if you are looking for a day out with a different experience, or wondering where to take your kids, Prani is an excellent option for you!!
