So what if the Bengaluru airport is literally outside the city, it's at least pretty! The latest addition to it - the gleaming new Terminal-2 of Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport is all set to leave travellers stunned. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the airport's "Garden Terminal" on November 11th, 2022. The Bengaluru International Airport, like the ones in Mumbai and Delhi, is regarded as one of the best in the country.

The terminal is built at a cost of Rs 5,000 crore and spread area of 2,55,645 square metres. The T-2 will contain 22 contact gates, 15 bus gates, 95 check-in solutions, and 17 security check lanes in its initial phase. There will be nine customs screenings for hand luggage.

According to PTI, the Terminal-2 is constructed on four guiding principles in mind: 'Terminal in a Garden,' - as a tribute to the Garden city of bengaluru, sustainability, technology and innovation, and the art and culture of Karnataka.
